Last Friday, June 19, we held a very special event for our entire ecosystem: the SpainNAB General Assembly. On this occasion, we had the opportunity to gather at the Action Against Hunger (Acción contra el hambre) building, and we would like to express our gratitude to them for hosting us. Sharing this milestone in a space so closely aligned with our mission of social transformation added great value to the day.
We start the morning off with energy thanks to coffee from Filantrópico, a social impact project that proves sustainability and great coffee go hand in hand.

A space for dialogue, transparency, and governance
For those of you reading this who may not be familiar with the details of our internal structure, we think it’s important to explain what this meeting means. The General Assembly is SpainNAB’s highest decision-making body. Although we openly share our information and progress on a daily basis, this is the essential governance forum where we report, debate, and solidify the association’s next steps. It is the perfect opportunity for the Board of Directors, the team, and the members to meet face-to-face and catch up on all the progress we’ve made together.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude for the commitment of the members of our Board of Directors: Eugenio Solla (President), José Moncada (Vice President), Marc Miralles (Treasurer), José María Gil-Robles (Secretary), as well as the vision of our Executive Director, Mercedes Valcárcel. And, of course, this entire ecosystem is supported by the SpainNAB team that drives our day-to-day work: María Molina, Águeda García, and Amina El Bakkali.
True to our commitment to transparency, during the session we took stock of the past year by presenting the Management Report and the 2025 financial statements. But above all, we looked to the future by reviewing the progress of our 2025–2027 Strategic Plan. Understanding where we’ve come from and solidifying where we’re headed is essential to ensuring that every action is supported by the voice of our network.

The Spirit of SpainNAB: We Keep Growing
One of the moments that best captured the energy of the event was the welcome address by our president, Eugenio Solla. His remarks perfectly conveyed where we stand today: a vibrant, optimistic, and ever-evolving ecosystem.
The core message was clear and exciting: we keep growing. But this growth goes far beyond our own association; it reflects how impact investing in Spain is maturing, scaling, and gaining undeniable weight. In this landscape of national expansion, SpainNAB is establishing itself as the central hub that brings together, connects, and drives all actors to row in the same direction
The official introduction of the new members joining our association was the most tangible proof of this. Welcoming these new organizations—and laying the groundwork for future additions—shows us that this movement is not slowing down. Every new partner that joins enriches the discussion, brings new capabilities, and multiplies our collective strength to mobilize capital for impact.

Thank you for being the driving force behind change
We want to recognize those who make all of this possible. A huge thank you to everyone who attended, and to our members in general.
Your daily support, your active participation, and your commitment are the driving force that gives true meaning to what we do. We leave this General Assembly with renewed motivation, knowing that the path toward an impact economy is built step by step and, above all, as a community. Thank you for continuing to grow alongside us!
To wrap up the day, we enjoyed a well-deserved cocktail reception hosted by Carifood, Caritas’s sustainable and inclusive catering service that puts its heart (and flavor) into the social economy.
